Wild Rose

One of the things I used to like to do when I was trucking around British Columbia was to stop and take photos of the wild flowers that exist throughout the province. The variety and abundance is second to none. One of my favorites is the wild rose which grows everywhere alongside the roads and mountain sides.

These pretty little flowers make for a great macro photography shoot and can even be taken in normal mode with great results.  I like to try and use a larger aperture to blur out the background and hopefully the greens or blacks will be the dominant colors in the background.
