Wild Mountain Cotton Flower Photography

In my younger years I used to hike alot on Mount Washington and Forbidden Plateau as there are so many lakes to hike to and camp.  Along the way there are also many meadows with a variety of different plant species to photograph.  This one was taken near Lady Lake in a meadow that is close to the shoreline.  I was never able to identify the actual plant but decided it looked a cotton plant so I call it wild mountain cotton.  If you know the actual name by all means let me know.
