Brown Bear
One day I was hauling a load of magnesium chloride (dust control) to the Bella Coola Valley in the northwest Chilcotin Region. I came across this brown bear feeding on the side of the road at the top of Heckman Pass. I stopped, rolled down my window and took his/her picture from the window of my Peterbilt truck. He didn't seem to mind and went back to browsing the grasses.
I'm not sure if he was a relative of a black bear or an actual grizzly bear but someone told me later that it was indeed a species of black bear. One of these days I will try to confirm it but for now I am happy with the photo as it turned out.
